Awkwafina

Awkwafina An American performer and actress, started with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood when she dropped a series of raps. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical experience. She played the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora began studying hip-hop in her teens. After concentrating on education, she was awarded an education in journalism at the college as well as a women's studies degree. It wasn't until she graduated that her focus shift to music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also featured viral hit tracks including body-positive Queef & winking home tour NYC BitcheUSD. The third track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in the year 2015, and was an additional initiative. After having a great career as a musician, she took on the character of actress. As well as early shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
